The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency mentioned it can be alarmed in regards to the significant number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a substantial variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office committed to service the area each day. The services level produced for intervention experiences a high inflow of possible beneficiaries, that makes it tricky to the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to enable the servicing of all prospects and enhance access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
